Nicole White, M. Arch., MBA, RA
Senior Design Consultant
Nicole is defined by her positive can-do attitude and creative problem solving. She enjoys drawing, painting, or just being creative, as much as she loves nature and a good hike. Nicole is always looking for a new art project to complete with her daughter. She believes that her experiences as a mom with a young daughter give her a much different perspective on the barriers found in the built environment.
Nicole attended the University at Buffalo where her interest in inclusive design first began. Joining the IDEA Center team feels like returning home in many ways. She holds degrees in architecture and business with a concentration in marketing. She believes both fields are about understanding and meeting user needs. As a licensed architect, she believes one of an architect’s greatest roles is to understand the needs of the user for the spaces we create. This was a practice she always strived to uphold during her fifteen years of post-graduate experience in the field of architecture.
During her free time, if she is not taking a hike through Allegany State Park or walking a path at Knox Farm, she might be watching a travel show or planning a new adventure. She has a deep interest in unique places, cultures, and art history; she appreciates the enrichment that diverse views bring to the table.
