Jordana juggles her many roles—researcher, administrator, educator, cheerleader—with a kind, thoughtful, and sarcastic demeanor. Her altruistic ambition is humbled by her healthy dose of level-headedness and pragmatism. She is the ringleader (or lion tamer), who brings a sense of order and focus to the team’s numerous projects and research activities. Her degrees in urban planning and human factors engineering help her see the big picture while carefully keeping an eye on the details. Discovering her passion for inclusive design during her college days at Cornell University, she was surprised but excited when her desire to ‘make a difference by design’ brought her back to her hometown of Buffalo, NY. Driven to excel, both personally and professionally, Jordana values results and efficiency. Over the past 15 years, she has led numerous projects at the IDeA Center, many of which have a common theme: evaluating the impact of inclusive design implementation. Jordana is known for her well-stamped passport. Bitten by the travel bug at an early age, her pursuit of and respect for diversity and inclusion likely stems from her many global adventures.
