Jonathan has been with the University at Buffalo’s Center for Inclusive Design and Environmental Access (IDEA Center) since 2007. He is a licensed architect in the State of Ohio and is certified by the Accessibility Professional’s Association. Jonathan is an expert in accessible design and universal design whose work includes meticulously evaluating plans and the built environment for barriers to usability and independence for people of all ages and abilities; developing practical and elegant solutions; and passing along his knowledge in reports, books, and lectures. His current projects include the innovative solutions for Universal Design (isUD) certification program, the Universal Design Education Online continuing education program, as well as ongoing ADA and Fair Housing compliance evaluations.
