Reimagining Play
How Universal Design Transformed the New Utica Children's Museum

The Utica Children’s Museum, reopened in 2025 within the ICAN Family Resource Center in Utica, NY, is a fully reimagined, inclusive space designed using the Goals of Universal Design. As the first museum in the NY State to earn isUD™ certification, it sets a precedent for inclusivity in children’s museums.
